Bill McBean
Bill McBean was born in Bronxville, New York. He graduated from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois, with a major in English.
For the next twenty-five years, he worked as a newspaper reporter at Gannett Newspapers in New York, the Colorado Springs Sun, the Arizona Daily Star and finally, at The Denver Post. Investigative journalism was his forte while at the Post. He exposed major corruption in the Aurora Public Schools, and at Denver International Airport during its construction.
Bill also covered the top political figures of the day, including Gov. Dick Lamm, Denver Mayor Federico Peña and Denver Mayor Wellington Webb. He was the recipient of several major journalism awards.
Acclaim Investigations, LLC is a natural extension of McBean’s newspaper career. The men and women constituting his investigative force are an amalgam of journalists and retired police officers, making Acclaim’s probative capability unequaled in Colorado.
LeeAnn Manning
LeeAnn came to Acclaim after serving as a detective with the Colorado Bureau of Investigations (CBI) for 13 years. Her experience includes conducting criminal investigations related to homicides, sexual assaults, undercover narcotic investigations, financial crimes, and civil litigation cases.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from Fort Lewis College, majoring in Business Administration and Spanish. She attended both the Colorado Law Enforcement Training Academy and the Jefferson County Regional Law Enforcement Academy where she received her Colorado Peace Officer Certification.
Linda Stanley
Linda is one of Acclaim’s lead investigators. With her police background and domestic violence specialty, Linda brings a seasoned and nuanced perspective to all of our investigations. Currently, she is a second year law student at the University of Denver.
Prior to joining the Acclaim team, Linda was a police officer. Originally from Davenport, Iowa, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Metropolitan State College of Denver and then attended the police academy, where she earned a perfect 4.0 GPA. Linda also attended the University of Colorado at Denver and earned her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Program on Domestic Violence.
